Not all the songs in Tony Hawk games are great, which is probably why several of them were cut for the Pro Skater 1+2 release. Of all the newly added songs, "Can I Kick It?" by A Tribe Called Quest is the most welcome addition and a near-perfect fit.
A Tribe Called Quest is still one of the greatest hip-hop groups of all time, and "Can I Kick It?" is the perfect addition to a Tony Hawk game and vibes well with the '90s nostalgia Pro Skater 1+2 fosters. Not all the new additions are recent, though. "Duck Eat Duck World" by Destroy Boys and "West Coast" by FIDLR are both fairly recent songs and both are standouts. However, the game also features some great new additions to the soundtrack. Other fan-favorites like "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000, "No Cigar" by Millencolin, and Bad Reglion's "You" are thankfully in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 as well. It's like skateboarding through a time warp and coming out in 2000. It's a callback to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, and it's instantly invigorating.
